Ricinoleic Acid or 12-hydroxy-9-cis-octadecenoic acid is an unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid found in Castor plant seeds. It is formulated by the hydrolysis of Castor Oil. This avid is widely used in textile, soap, ink and other sectors. Owing to its antimicrobial properties, it is used as a disinfectant.
